I can’t believe I missed this…

Sneaker Con NYC – January 9th 2010:

So if you slept like me, you missed out on the largest sneaker convention in NYC yesterday. Celebrating its 2nd anniversary, Sneaker Con is by far the biggest event for a sneaker head that includes trading, buying and viewing some of the most sought after and illest kicks on the planet. To make matters worse, I also think Olivia Munn from G4’s Attack of the Show was rumored to appear. Better luck next year.

Goodbye 2009

 

Hey everyone. I know I’ve been a little lax with updating the blog but that’s only because I was on a much needed vacation in New York.  I had a dope time, bought lots of shit, hung out with friends, and got wasted for the most part. I hope everyone had a great NYE and 2009 in general and thanks again for your continued viewership despite my short hiatus. Here’s to 2010. Superficialifestyle let’s go!

All of photos are in black and white and were shot under the Williamsburg Bridge in NYC giving the shoot have a classic feel. The first drop of the new look Evisu teams products start to arrive around the middle of Jan in stores.

 

Bonefish Restaurant Review

So last Friday night as usual my best friend Shay and I decided to grab a bite to eat for dinner.  I mean who really feels like making dinner on a Friday? Apparently she heard good things about this place called Bonefish Grill.  Since I only eat fish I was immediately intrigued.

There was nowhere to park….

and the place was packed as soon as we arrived. We figured this was a good sign and that this place was going to be “da bomb”!  50mins and waiting we finally get to our seats….and our waitress doesn’t waste anytime bringing us a piping hot loaf of ciabatta  bread.  

The menu consisted of all types of fresh fish and an array of unique side items such as Jazmine rice and succotash made with fresh salsa  …. mmmm just the thought is impressive.  I decided to play it safe, as usual, and ordered fish and chips.

Fresh grouper that was tempura fried with a side of fries. Shay as always took a walk on the wildside and ordered bang bang shrimp tacos that came with potato chips….. Not Utz. We’re talking real home made skillet fried potatos which were insanely delicious.

This place is very modest when it comes to prices as well.  Most of the drinks and wine selections were priced right at around 5 bucks a glass. A glass of Merlot and the House Sangria were our choices.  During these hard economic times you can’t get any better than that.  This was the most reasonable Friday dinner I’ve had in a while.

Davide Di Saro and Mihai Wilson better known as the directing duo WeWereMonkeys succeeded in creating abstract, yet compelling visuals for the single “It’s Okay” by Montreal buzz band Land Of Talk. Land Of The Talk’s “Land Of The Lakes” has been out since 2008, so don’t sleep!

Just walking through the park

Today in Mount Vernon I was walking through the park and there was a film crew doing some ariel shots of the park.  Anyone who is’nt a stranger to this area knows that Mount Vernon (particulary where the Washington Mounument is located) is a playground for Directors. Some  locations around this area have a very Classic Victorian look and if shot right can be mistaken for Prague or even London. Take a look.

Pizza Night

So everyone that knows me knows that I absolutely LOVE pizza, so me talking about eating it really isnt anything new. The difference this time however is that I made it from stratch using whole wheat dough,  and I gotta tell you…it was pretty damn tasty.

  Had to start with only the freshest ingrediants.

Another Fall day in Mount Vernon

 On my way to the gym this afternoon it struck me. The leaves are finally changing and fall is really upon us. There’s nothing like living downtown when the seasons change…
